Almost families have bought padded cotton blankets at the first days of winter against lower temperature

Mrs. Huyen decided to buy a Bed Linen at De La Thanh Street after had considered information from many shops. Excited for buying cheap one, but she appalled to see discoloration at the first washing, rough surface fabric and chemicals smell. However, she continued to use because she thought that it’s not unusual - almost fabric gets color out at the first washing. After a few time washing, the linen was torn at texture. And the rashes appeared on her skin. She bought medicine to use because thinking of weather allergies, but the uncomfortable feeling was not ending. The itchy feeling was worse every morning. Then her husband got the same symptom. Doing dermatologist examination, doctors concluded she and her husband got dermatitis disease and probably the main reason was her new bed linen.

Professor Tran Hong Con (ChemistryDepartment, National University of Hanoi) say that the cheap bed linens often make from recycled cotton, containing many bacteria, viruses and recycled plastic that are dangerous for users. In particular, these products can cause a number of diseases such as asthma, skin allergies, and even skin cancer after long time using.

Besides, due to using poor quality fabrics, the linen should be soaked with chemicals for softening fabric, scented dyeing and preservative that cause dermatitis, skin allergies, or even cancer.

Even though the consumers wash carefully before using, but we cannot remove all the bacteria and chemicals in the fabric. Therefore, it is difficult to avoid the risk of infection.
